Soil conditioners are a mix of different products aiming at improving soil conditions in the soil volume occupied by tree roots during the first years: hydro-absorbent polymers (that absorb water during wet periods and release it during dry periods), fertilizer, root growth precursors, etc. This technique pretends to be an alternative to the application of emergency watering during the first years of the plantation.
During the project, TerraCottem Internacional will develop an innovative version of the product TerraCottem Universal®, which will include a new high-performance hydro-absorbent polymer in an improved mixture.
